Going to be making a brief cameo on The Office this Thursday May 9th on NBC, at 9pm. I get to trade lines with Ed Helms' character, and the guy could not have been cooler or more helpful. It was a complete honor considering it is the second to last episode on the final season of this groundbreaking comedy, that basically broke Ricky Gervaise (UK Version) in the States. Check it out, but don't blink, or use the bathroom....

Happy Monday to everybody, well as happy as a Monday can be....just got back from a gig in Port Chester Connecticut. We had the pleasure of playing for the Red Ribbon Foundation at the beautiful Capitol Theater, who were honoring Gary "Baba Booey" Dell 'Abate with a well-deserved lifetime achievement award. I had the distinct honor of presenting him with the award before we played, and we had a great time hanging with Gary, his lovely wife Mary and sons Jackson and Lucas.

What's up my good people, just checking in. As you know Under The Sun 2013 is shaping up, with an official announcement coming on April 1st, with more dates to be added. I'm sorry if we are not coming to your area, my apologies, but the tour routing is dictated by promoter demand. So if we aren't coming to your area, reach out to your local venues and promoters , and we'll see if we can make it your way next summer.

I am still glowing about the fact that I actually was trading lines yesterday with Mr Ed Helms on the set of The Office! Trip out, huh? One of the best shows ever created and yours truly will be on one of the final episodes of the final season. The cast and crew could not have been more welcoming and supportive, you could tell there was a real family vibe there...no surprise the show has lasted so long.

On a plane right now to New York City to do some promo for the McGrath and Friends Cruise. I'll be on my good friend Wendy Williams show on Wednesday the 30th, as well as hitting some other national press to spread to word about the cruise. The response has been amazing and the ship is filling up , so make sure to book your cabin now!

So a quick update on a few things. I am really stoked, and very humbled, by the amazing response to the Mark McGrath and Friends Cruise. So let me try to answer some common questions I have been asked on Twitter. We will be sailing October 18-21 with some of the biggest multi-platinum bands that defined the sound of the 90's, with performances and surprises throughout our voyage.

Happy New Year my friends, lets make this year the best one yet! And what better way to kick off the new year than to announce the 1st Annual Mark McGrath and Friends Cruise. So stoked to jump on a cruise ship for 4 days of sun, fun, booze and some of the best music from the 90's. So far the line up is Smashmouth, Sugar Ray, Gin Blossoms, Vertical Horizon, Spin Doctors, Marcy Playground, Ed from Live, Cracker, and Ed from Collective Soul, and The Verve Pipe playing all the hits in an intimate setting.

So it turns out I'm even worse than I thought I would be at updating this site, and that's pretty sad because I had low expectations (like you I'm sure!). The good news is I'm an avid Tweeter but I realize its not the same, so my promise to you in 2013 is to update more, but write less. I think at least a paragraph a week would be something to shoot for, especially with my typing skills!

Super excited for Summerland 2012 to start, we get on the bus tonite and head up north to Saratoga, CA for the first show Thursday.

It's getting closer to Summerland everyday, and the travel actually begins for me this Friday as SR heads to Dallas for a private show, then next Wednesday I head to Miami to host The Miss Hooters International competition! Yes, someone has to do it, and what's cool is that it's live on FX on Saturday , June 23. So basically I have a few days off before we begin our 6 week tour of these beautiful United States. It's kind of a bummer to, because the reality of being away from my little boy and girl hit me square in the head this week. We have done a few weekends here and there, and that's hard enough, but to be gone a full 6 weeks is going to be rough! I'm not complaining though, just stating the obvious, and I feel very fortunate to be able to make a living playing music, especially in this day and age!
