Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year to you all!

What's up everybody and a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year to you all! I'm feeling good about 2014 and really looking forward to closing old chapters and opening new ones. Working hard right now on putting together the line up for Under The Sun 2014, and I can't wait to make an announcement very soon. Seems strange to be thinking about the summer already, but that's how the summer concert business rolls!

I'll be adding to my acting resume with a guest starring role on ABC's The Neighbors on January 17th. I play a band member (surprise!) getting together for the character Marty's 25th high school reunion. Make sure you check it out because it's a fantastic cast and crew, very funny, and the show deserves to have a long run. Also, unlike most of my thespian appearances, I'm actually in the whole episode and have quite a few lines...like I said, they have a great sense of humor!

In addition, Killer Karaoke returns to tru TV in February with yours truly hosting, and if you want to see what the New York Times called "the best show in the history of television" you must tune in. I have never laughed harder in my life at some of these challenges, and the brainiac television veterans they brought in to improve gameplay did a stellar job! Please watch my friends, I need to do 10 seasons of this show for my soul!

Finally, we are still writing music as we speak for some type of release. We did go in the studio last Spring, but weren't in love with everything we did. So let's be honest, no need to release anything that we aren't completely satisfied with, since we have no label and are doing it strictly for fun. Proud to say that Rod and I came up with one of the best songs we've written since When Its Over, called Summertime's Coming, that has made it into our set and that some of you have been asking about. All in due time, but like every other band in our situation, we are still contemplating the best way to release any new music. It's a whole new world since the major label over-indulgence of the 90's, especially when paying for it yourself!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but I feel so fortunate and blessed by all the love and support Rod and I have gotten from all our Sugar Ray friends. Much love and thanks to you all...

Good to hear that things are going great for you. I can't wait to tune in to the shows and see you guys on the road this summer. I have been a fan since 95 and support all that you do. You are one talented mofo! I may just have to sign up for Killer Karaoke as that is one of my favorite past times. Take care!

You know we will be waiting for SR in the Big D. Pine Knob has never been the same since last year when you rocked it out in 2013!!! I had to fly a friend in from CA just so she could experience where real Rock&Roll started! Look forward to the TV shows. Keep going, you are definitely a STAR!

Just so you know. You guys are going to sell out everywhere. Can't wait for the new tunes to be finished. You guys don't release crappy stuff so take as long as you want we (your fans) aren't going anywhere. By the way you spelled thought as though on the main page and might want to attend to the type-O. RIIIIGHT.?

Oh Yeah!

Thanks Mark for the update! Glad to hear you and Rod are still working on new music. I know it is hard to come up with new tunes, and we (the fans) all appreciate you keeping it real with us. You should try to get in touch with Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day, that guy is a song-writing god, and it would be interesting to see a collaboration between you, but I know it is easier than it sounds.
One thing I really want to thank you is for being so cool and down to earth. I saw you guys a few years ago right before Music for Cougars came out, and you told the audience that you hope the fans get to listen to it, even if they downloaded it "free" from LimeWire (back when people used LimeWire). I hope I didn't break your bank, but I downloaded it for free and thought it was a really good album! Thank you for being cool like that, I wish other musicians were more like you!
Looking forward to the new music whenever it comes out, and definitely the tour this summer! Love ya!

Is there any chance you can add Ed Kowalczyk to the Under The Sun line-up this year?

Booking info?

Good afternoon,

I am the president of North East Sound West entertainment and promotions based out of the Western, PA region. I wanted to initiate contact in regards to booking Smashmouth and/or other bands that are interested. We have various concepts that we host, co-produce, that we are always looking for headlining acts, as well as independent booking consultation. We have an impressive music scene, and North East Sound West is one of the leaders of uniting the various facets of local music. We look forward to your response and expanding on opportunities!

Regards,
